Why does Netflix redirects when a show isn’t avaiable? [on hold]

While browsing for a TV show on Netflix, the search page gave no result to my query, leading me to believe that Netflix didn't have it. A google query, however, led me to know that the show was actually available, but not for my country. Surprisingly enough, clicking the link to the show redirects me to Netflix's browse page, instead of displaying an error message.

Netflix is widely regarded as a wonderfully designed product but this UX choice surprises me: why isn't it mentionned, both on the search page and on the TV show page, that the show is available on Netflix but not in my country? Is it a common UX design pattern to hide such useful information?

NB: The behavior of the links above may differ according to the country, FYI I post this question from Germany
