What’s the best way to organize the information in the following scenario?
You can buy insurance online for certain events but not others. There are hundreds of possible events (film screening, birthday party, concert, wedding, gun show etc.). What's the best way to show the events in a way that indicates up front which ones allow purchase and which do not, while also allowing the user to select the one that best matches their event without them having to read through so many options? While from an information architecture standpoint categories and subcategories can be created, what's the best way to show is eligible vs ineligible?
I was thinking not available like ecommerce out of stock (grayed out).
