What is the challenge or resistance of inclusive design being used as a driver for better UX? [closed]

Looking at some of the red dot design award winners from last year, I noticed a particular entry in the communication design category that again highlighted the value of inclusive design in creating a better overall user experience for everyone.

The project was to redesign subway maps for the colour blind, and if you look at the video in the project link you can see the approach to tackling the problem from the perspective of the colour blind user.

However, what was interesting is that the designs take into consideration how people look at the information when they are not focusing solely on the colour cues and signals. The result was a design that was not only helping colour blind users to process the information faster, it also improved processing time for people with normal vision.

I would like to know what people have seen as the obstacles or challenge for making inclusive design the rationale for creating better overall user experience with the view to improve accessibility and usability.
