What is better for long form articles, images one by one or Galleries?

I would like to know what is better for the user experience:

• To have all the images full-size one after another like this?
• To have all the images in galleries like in Jetpack Tiled Images?

I am not able to find good information on the Internet, perhaps there is not an absolut answer.
