What color choices impact a user to either come back or stay?

I am currently making a website. I was wondering what colors / color schemes would impact a user the most in making them want to come back or stay. Since I couldn't find a question that already had this content, I decided to ask here.

I've noticed the following colors have some general effects:

• Orange - Homely, warm
• Red - Sacrifice, evil
• Blue - Calm, cold
• Green - Growth
• Purple - Status
• Yellow - Respect

I've been trying to find some varieties of Orange and Blue that would go together, but have been failing to find them.

#218db1 & #fd5e53 were the colors I was thinking of using. But something just isn't right with it.
