What are the most user-friendly websites to build my first portfolio?

To preface, I am an absolute beginner. I graduated recently with a totally different degree. Discovered UX and pursuing in my free time now. I am working on my first design/research/case study. I am not a coder. I am not a graphic designer. I would like to start sketching out and creating my portfolio, and I am running into a lot of options! Adobe portfolio (don't have adobe cc subscription), Webflow, UXfol.io, Wordpress, Squarespace etc. I would like to have some customizable features, but at the end of the day I would be happy with something simple and clean that features my work. A site where I have the skeleton figured out and can just add/remove information as needed.

I am looking at different sites for inspiration... is that the best way to figure out how I want my own portfolio to look? Some of the websites look very professional, polished and maybe feature their own graphic design? It's quite intimidating because while I want to get started I'm not entirely sure where to start. Do I need to study website layouts, typography, color, visual hierarchy, etc more before proceeding? Thanks all!
