VP of Product with no background in software or tech company

Has anyone worked with a VP of Product who has had no background with software or tech companies? Unfortunately, I learned the first day on the job that my manager has no experience working in the tech industry. He comes from a Product Management background in physical goods and is just “learning” about agile and how things work in the digital world. It is frustrating to say the least. I blame myself for not probing further in the interviews on his experience. He mentioned he worked as a product manager for over 15 years but did not state that it was only for manufactured physical goods. I automatically assumed he had the technical experience since the role was for a digital product. I have come to resent him as I feel he has somehow tricked me into accepting the offer. I've begun to realize his lack of knowledge, doesn’t provide valuable insight, and has no clear strategic vision. He also hired Product Managers with less than a year of experience to be on his team so I feel like they don’t any know better. I am currently the only Product Designer at the company who was hired at the suggestion of one of the other product managers. Previous to my role this VP did not even know what UX was. Other than this, I love the company mission, the autonomy, the flexibility, and the people. I keep going back and forth if I should suck it up or look for another job.
