Using Alienware M17 (Tobii Eye Tracker Config) for eye tracking studies
Has anyone used or attempted to use this Alienware model (which includes Tobii Eye Tracker) as a machine for doing eye tracking / gaze tracking studies for Usability/User Experience research?
If it works with Tobii's eye tracking analysis software this would be a more affordable way to collect this data than purchasing a stand-alone eye tracker (which I also have, but would also like a more deployable solution for my research needs in the field).
Has anyone tried this? I'm trying to get ahold of Tobii customer support as well to answer this question. I figure if they don't officially support such activities and would rather my company purchase the more expensive stand alone hardware we might be able to just use open source software with the hardware regardless.
