UI ideas for creating a linkage web page [on hold]

I'm looking to create some sort of UI design for linking one or more entities to another. It needs to be achieved via HTML5 and JS.

For example linking one or more books to a library. For example linking one or more products to a category.

Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations on something like this? I know there is the Html Multiple Select but I don't like that. Theres also the Select2 plugin, but that caters for adding one link at a time. I need something for bulk operations.

I would prefer some kind of dynamic pane that can be styled and supports dragging. Something that is user friendly and attractive at the same time.
