Tool for Dialog Annotation

I have a series of messages:

  • Dialog Act 1: Hi there
  • Dialog Act 2: Hey
  • Dialog Act 3: How are you?
  • Dialog Act 4: Good.
  • Dialog Act 5: This week has been great.

I want the user to annotate parts of the dialog. Acts 1-2 would belong with Salutation while Acts 3 - 5 would belong in the Question act.

I have been squabbling on what widget to use for this. The best thing I can think of is having a textbox next to each line.
