The must-read User Interface Book? [closed]

by UXStackExchange on August 9, 2010 in Devices, E-Commerce, Forms, General, Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Interfaces, JavaScript, LA UX Jobs, learning, Marketing, Material Design, Mobile, Personas, Product Strategy, Prototyping, Resources, Responsive Web Design, Stakeholder interviews, Testing, UI, Usability, User Experience, User Interaction, User Research, User testing, UX Design, UX Rockstars, UX Toolbox, Visual Design

I'm looking for the Book that explains the essentials of user interface and user experience design.

I read Beautiful Visualization and Designing Interfaces from O'Reilly. I think they are very good but, I'm still looking for the one.

Please provide your recommendation and why it stands as the essential reference.
