Suggestions for storage with version control

thanks in advance for advice. Our company is separating from our parent company and we're in a position to choose a new data storage solution. I'd love any advice. Here are the features we are looking for:

• Must be non platform-specific; ie must be able to store files from any app type
• Must have version control
• Must have desktop synchronization (ideally without local storage)
• Must be able to handle reasonably large files

Any suggestions are appreciated!
