Should a website’s filters be saved across visits?

Do you expect a website to remember your filtering settings between different visits?

There are a couple of scenarios:

1. Only for current session: When you come back a couple of days later, filter has been reset.
2. Always remember: (unless you clear your browser cache).
3. Offer to save: There is a button to save the filter, which prompts sign-up (if user isn't already registered).

This concerns a job website, which a candidate will visit repeatedly over the course of weeks/months. It's not required to sign-in.
