Scrolling for elderly

I am doing my master research with the topic "Scrolling for elderly" by developing and evaluating a touch-based prototype. So far so good I have studied some papers and found that elderly really don't prefer to use scroll gesture and it's really hard to find lots of research on this topic. What I am thinking to develop a prototype with 1. "Up down arrow button" to scroll 2. Enhance scroll while using Magnifier for low vision elderly 3. Design a Push button to scroll

I need a recommendation, which idea is better to apply to develop a prototype to make it more accessible. Any other ideas will be highly appreciated.
