Ressources/books to build a fundation in UI/UX? [on hold]

My problem right now is that when I'm building a UI/UX I do it in a random way by trying many combinations of layout, margin/paddings, fonts, colors... It takes a lot of time and I never feel confident whether this is good or not.

Could you suggest some ressources or books that would bring me an inner framework, a sort of fundamental understanding that would make me more confident and efficient in building a UI/UX without having to randomly shuffle a lot of parameters ?
