Reset disabled phone to factory

Will pressing the reset button wipe to factory settings, to fix your phone being disable and says disabled connect to iTunes. I don’t have a computer and I remember I did this once before by pressing the volume and home and power buttons, I never seen this and I have an iPhone 6s Plus, do I have to still use the power and volume buttons?
