Questions for those who got UX-related Masters [closed]
I'm looking at programs that supplement/ focus on UX. They have different names and focuses, including:
- User Experience Design (design and research-methods focused)
- Human Computer Interaction Design (seems to be more high tech and include more than applications?)
- UX Engineering (with emphasis on coding)
- Information Experience Design (was looking at Pratt's )
I am new to UX and trying to experiment with it more at home. I know you don't need the degree to get into it, but I was still considering it for other personal reasons.
So in general, I wanted to ask those of you who've gotten a UX-related Masters: How was it useful? Would you have studied/prepared for your career differently? What courses were the most valuable?
And if anyone is open to it, I'd love to DM you to talk more about the field in detail. I'm still trying to figure out my niche and I don't know if I have a misconstrued idea of what it'd be like to work in it
many thanks
