Optimized colors to fight screen fatique
There is a big discussion about blue light emitted by computer screens and its effects on sleep, not to mention the good old Light Theme v.s. Dark Theme debate.
As a software engineer, I'm a big developer and user of graphical interfaces.
I'm wondering if some colors, or color combinations, are better at reducing screen fatigue (e.g. sky blue text on a pink background is more likely to disturb the users' sleep than yellow text on a green background)? Could it depend on the time of the day? Could it be different for every user – physiologically speaking, keeping personal preferences aside?
