Maximum number of notifications supported in groped email notification

This is the email notification template for users who turn on their email notification settings (hourly, daily). The number of notifications may vary depending on the user so it is possible to have a lot of notifications grouped together in a single email notification.

The image above shows that the user has for example 5 notifications but the system only limits the display to 3 notifications. So at the footer section I have added 'Displaying 3/5 notifications. Login to view all unread notifications: {link}'

Question:

  1. Should we set a limit to the number of notifications displayed in a single email? If yes, what is the appropriate maximum number of notifications per email?
  2. How do we inform the user about the limit?
