Magnifer or Eye icon for viewing full details?

I have a table grid with each row representing a record. I've been using a magnifier icon to avoid writing "view record" for each row. Clicking the magnifier icon opens up a modal window to view the full details of the record.

Should I be using the Magnifier icon or an Eye icon?

The eye seems more appropriate but seeing a bunch of eyeballs just seems weird to me.

What do you guys think?
