Long un-descriptive list [on hold]

At the bottom of one of my web pages I have a long list of downloadable files.

001256.pdf
001256.csv
005896.pdf
005896.csv
...

It's a long list that requires a lot of scrolling.

Besides a pdf/csv filter and a search bar, what other ways could I improve usability?
