Logo customization for a SaaS with company pages
In our SaaS app, Teamlyzer, companies can login and claim their company's page.
(from there, they can do things like convert wiki pages in official pages)
Collaborators on a claimed company then login, and have access to a profile configuration page, where they can do things like
- upload photos
- upload their brand logo
- update addresses
- update other basic info
My question is about the brand identity of this set of pages. The company must see this profile area as something they own. Do we need to remove our own brand icon for our SaaS (Teamlyzer)? I have some mockups to demonstrate what I am talking about.
In the first 2, we keep our SaaS logo along with the company's logo that they uploaded.
In the 3rd one, we show only ours.
In the 4th one, we show only their logo.
I cannot find any research or advice about this. Empirically, both ways appear in the marketplace. Some services allow the brand customization, like Gitlab or G Suite — and some do not allow it, like the admin area of LinkedIn.
