how to contact users of an app to do user research

I want to do a case study on a app but I am feeling bit stuck with the user research. Actually I want to do user research but I can't really find the users of that app. I tried to contact the users on social media platforms but again no luck. What should I do ? How can i contact the users of the app ? I am really interested in the app. Any help would be appreciated !
