How should redirects to a comment reply be handled on an infinite scroll type page?

If there are only a hand full of comments on a page loading them all and pointing the user to his reply is not a problem, but if there are a lot of comments loading them all seems like a problem.

Is upon redirecting a good idea to load the reply on top of the page so the user can see it first ?
