Horizontal timeline navigation for diary app

I'm looking for a way to display the time of day in 15 minute intervals across the width of the screen. As the user scrolls the timeline content on the page adapts to the time of day.

The timeline should be full screen and its center indicates the time currently selected. Additionally there should be an indicator to show the current time of day. I'm looking for a way that makes this obvious to the user. Additionally I want to display a graph for each five minute internval (so three per 15 minute block) indicating how busy the user's diary is at that time.

Every sketch is either cluttered or insufficiently obvious that it works this way. Has anyone got any ideas.
