Examples of list tables or management tables with complex filtering

I'm looking for a solution to the problem of having a large table with complex filtering options. I just want to know what patterns are currently popular for presenting large amounts of tabular data with customizable filters. A good example would be Atlassian's JIRA.

EDIT: Just looking for actual examples I can check out online, if possible. Any examples you can think of or even places to look would be much appreciated.
