Does Mobile view of website need animations and sliders?

As in websites we have Large Banner sliders, carousels,Some complex designs that have some large images (basically that are not viewable in small devices).

I am finding the fact that in home should it necessary to keep all those things to attract viewers in mobile device too, Or just making simple as possible with just using some images and text with small fonts is enough to make use of website friendly to use.
