Does it make sense to include links in a resume or portfolio? [on hold]

I usually send two files: a resume and a "portfolio" list. In the portfolio I have some linked word like "prototype ->" under the description for each project, so they can take a look if they feel like it.

Now I was thinking, what if I would include something like profiles from 1-2 sites on my resume (like UX SE) as a link too.

Do recruiters in this field usually view applications in digital form or is it still common to print it out?
Do recruiters even care for such things?
