Design for User Profile with Avatar + Theme System for non-game mobile application

i want to create simple reading platform application with some gamification system. I want to implement the simple avatar + theme system for user profile that contain basic information (name, bio, etc) + following/followers and stories. What is the best implementation for user profile with avatar/theme system? Is there any good example or non-games application example that implemented avatar system?
