Customising Angular Material vs Bootstrap

Any experienced front end developers or UX unicorns out there?

How much can the UI components of Angular Material be customised in comparison to Bootstrap?

I've Googled the crap out of it but can't find any decent answers. I was hoping someone on here might have some real world experience of both frameworks and could offer some insight.
