Current trend for electronic greeting cards

For the past several years animated/slide show greeting cards have been very popular for holiday corporate sending to clients, etc. What is the hot new trend for this year? Are animated slide shows with background music so last decade? What are some options that don't require hiring a team of Hollywood experts or spending thousands of dollars?

I believe this is a perfect User Experience question as any solution should be capable of being viewed on various types of devices and integrate the latest in UI features.
