Has anyone out there found examples of solid UX career path definitions with roles?
As most of you probably know, job titles, roles, and responsibilities in the User Experience field are often ambiguous or suspect at best, and a total mess at worst. It doesn’t help that most HR listings don’t even include UX…
Icons for notifications that pop up for users attention [on hold]
In the application I’m working on there needs to be a set of icons that are associated with an action that they need to take. The set has 7 icon buttons; take a photo, warranty, chronic, position, tires, serial number, environmental note.
There is 3 that are most difficult to portray as an icon;
The chronic (repair: a chronic part is one that is being repaired too often and the indicator allows the technician to know that they might need to look deeper. Eg. If you need to replace the headlight once per month for 3 months then it’s likely a problem with the electrical system and not the headlight itself
Position: a positional part is a part that can go in a few different places on the asset. Eg the same car tire can go Front-Left, Front-Right, Rear-Left, or Rear-Right.
Serial number: a serialized part is one where each individual part has its own identifying number. Eg – you might have two identical iPhones but they will both have unique serial numbers
I have included labels for these icons as well so that the user can read what they mean as these are not universal icons or recognizable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
This application is for mobile first so I will not be able to use any hover effects. My question is: what is the best way to show these indicators to the user

Quality / price slider
I am trying to depict quality (custom rating) and price sliders in one phone screen. The problem is that price and quality does not have direct connection (i.e. high quality does not necessary mean high price…there may be high quality and medium or low price). Is there any suggestion to do it? Maybe anybody know how to combine them into one slider?
