Are there any case studies using Sinus-Milieus in product development?

Currently, I am exploring how to use the research insights from the Sinus-Milieus institute in the discovery phase of the development of a news media product.

These insights are all about "groups of like-minded people based on values and views of life" and are traditionally used for print and tv cross-media marketing planning. Since I have never come into contact with this typology outside of traditional marketing, I lack the first starting point for its use in software product development.
